- Second summer in Turkey, same blog. For those of you who followed my Turkish adventure (Turk Maceram) here last summer, welcome back. For the rest of you -- and who are you? -- this blog is composed of two hastily proof-read parts. The first, which spans from June - August 2007 follows the time I spent in Istanbul studying Turkish on a scholarship from the US Department of State. The second part begins almost exactly one year later, when I returned to Istanbul as an unpaid, but nevertheless enthusiastic, State Department intern.
